I have a Mk7 GTI with DCC & encountered a puzzling issue a couple of nights ago;

Car was towards the end of a 300 odd mile B-road trip & coming out of a corner onto some roughly patched road, the back end started jiggling about as if it wasn't being damped at all, bouncing around in a way the even the "non-car" passengers noticed. I slowed down & pulled in about 1/2 a mile on, checked that the tyres, ride height & so on, all looked OK, rocked / bounced the car to check for an obviously failed shock, but nothing appeared wrong.

I cycled the DCC through it's modes a couple of time & drove on - all appeared fine...

My initial though was a sticky DCC valve on one of the rear shocks, but after reading a bit more about DCC, failure mode should result in the system defaulting to "standard" shock operation. What was happening was a damping issue, but apparently DCC in itself would not do this & I'm not aware of any sort of intermittent issue being normal on a failing shock - damps or doesn't?

I haven't had the chance to get it on a ramp yet, but any ideas?
