I might go look at 115 bhp golf diesel with a few miles on it.
What is the option to get it up to 130 or 150 bhp? Is it just a chip?

Yes..

The likes of Upsolute and Revo should see you with 145BHP and a hefty increase in torque..

Upsolute is only 305 quid too

The difference on 30 bhp on the diesel is unreal. WELL worth the money! My tdi went from 130 to 160 ish, and lots more torque, and the difference was amazing. That was with a bog standard superchip. I would imagine a higher quality rolling road tuned piggyback ECU, or remap would get even more...

I second this... I have the same car, and a similar chip. My Chip claims 40% increase ...... thats about 50 ish BHP ... a little optomistic... 30 - 40 bhp increase is more realistic.
goes like an economic missile

I have a 105bhp Golf mkV. £30 for a tuning box and hey presto - 138bhp on a rolling road. I can clip it in and out as needs be. The engine light came on last Friday, took the chip out and it cleared itself. Chip back in and off I go!!!!....

All the TDI engines are the same, Your drivers manual (or one of the books in the pack) will have a sticker in it saying exactly which engine is under the bonnet, then just get the system for that engine.

As far as I am aware, you can use nos in a deisel. Best speak to people who know about that though at a nos type company.
Find out the engine type and go to superchips webby, and they can tell you what gains you will get.
