Passat 2012 windscreen washer fuse
Discussion
My Passat windscreen washer is not working, I suspect there might be the problem with the fuse, please see photo 1 for the fuse box under the bonnet, and photo 2 for the fuse box inside the car by the drive side, please could anyone advice which one is for the screen washer so that I can pull out and have a look?
Try dis-connecting the battery for a short period to see if that fixes the problem. I know on VWs of that era some functions don't have fuses and they use a control module to monitor the circuit and shut it down if a fault condition is triggered. The circuit will only work again if the module is reset either by VCDS or toggling the power to it.
This link may also help, which implies it's Fuse 40 (20A). The fuse numbers are moulded into the cover of the fuse box.

Might help if you said what passat exactly
Do you have any other stuff not working or acting up? With any electrical issue on vw/audi I cant help but think of the extremely common comfort module under water issue (lift front passenger carpet and soundproofing to see if there is any water)

Hi,
I'm having the same issue with my 2012 2.0tdi passat.
Washer to front and rear not working and rear wiper not working.
I have checked the fuses as per diagram in previous posts and they are good so must be another issue.
Any other ideas. Did original poster resolve?
That's odd. On a 2012, the rear wiper *and* the washer pump are both Fuse 40, so if the fuse is definitely OK, I'd suggest getting it hooked up to VCDS. I'm having the same issue with my 2012 2.0tdi passat.
