C7 RS6 Audi Connect
Discussion
Hi there,
Just picked up the new family wagon yesterday and I’m trying to set it up! No issues so far aside from connecting to Audi connect. I don’t seem to have the Audi connect logo on the menu however I can log into the app enter the vin and the app with let me know about the service history spec and location etc. I’ve read a few forums about having to connect the car to the internet to make the system work however we don’t have the SIM card tray between the two SD card slots. So I’m not loooking at connecting it online via my iPhone, any ideas on how to do this and how to get the Audi connect to connect to the car! Any help greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Sam

It is my understanding that if you don't have the sim card slot then you don't have Audi Connect.
Indeed my S4 has no SIM card slot between the SD card slots and therefore doesn't have Audi Connect, it was offered as an extra but would doubt retrofitting is economically viable?Kuji said:

Ask at rs246.com
That's a s
t forum.Filter out the mum jokes and it’s great.
Lots of advice, tips and a small bunch of enthusiasts.
Unless you’re one of the posters who starts a thread expressing excitement about your new map and then a separate one a few weeks later feigning surprise when Audi knock back your post-engine failure warranty claim?

Ah that’s a real shame! When I signed up for the app I entered all the chassis info and it recognised the car I thourght it might have the Audi connect that’s a shame as it looks a good little gadget!
Yes the Audi MMI connect app will recognise the car but won't communicate with it. At first I thought the wifi on the MMI would do something but I think it's only to allow music streaming to the car.The My Audi Mobile app will bring up the car's complete spec, which is nice.
