Looking to get a red golf gti mk7 to replace my Alfa 159 wagoon going to car park in the sky (rusted subframe). On looking it has scatched 18inch rims which they said will get checked for resurface Diamond or if too much needed removal they will profession sprayed or £200 off.

Sneaking people photoed the back clean rims!

Would you choose silver or go black, fingers crossed they can get refurbished!

Just get them all sprayed Silver.

If they are black any kerbing stands out. If they are diamond cut it's £100+ and a few days without a car.

Sprayed Silver kerbing is only obvious close up, and any half decent paint shop/ smart repairer will touch them up for about £50 when required.

Where is the car coming from? If it's at a main dealer I would expect them to have refurbished the alloys on an Approved used car.

However it's also worth keeping in mind it doesn't make much difference to the value. VWFS only charge £36 per wheel if you return a lease/ PCP with scratched up alloys.

Good news the wheels can get resurfaced with diamond cut. Its not a main dealer but they have dealing with vw direct. Ta all now I have to not scuff them myself and put the alfa 159 in graveyard in the sky frown
