Audi TTS, S5 or S4 ride comfort?
Discussion
Hi All,
Just beginning to think about replacing our MX5 with something more practical, especially as we're now doing a lot more journeys of 100 - 250 miles.
I really like the latest TTS and S5 setups in terms of virtual cockpit etc so happy to look across a broad range of sizes hence the inclusion of the S4 Avant for significantly more practicality.
Comfort is becoming more important to us because of the longer journeys we're doing and the MX5 just isn't cutting the mustard now, as fun as it is to drive.
I see that the TTS comes with the magnetic ride as standard but it looks like the S5 and S4 do not.
Does anyone know how the TTS in comfort setting compares to the S5 or S4 Avant in their standard setups for long distance comfort?

I've got a 2015 mk3 TTS and while it was in with the dealer for some warranty work, I was loaned a 67 plate S5.
As far as refinement and the drive in comfort, I found the S5 much superior. That's not to say the TTS is bad but even in its softest settings its nowhere as quiet, refined and comfortable as the S5. The TTS, you'll get road noise enter the cabin on motorway speeds whereas the S5 is just so much more relaxing.
