Thanks, it’s a great package. I decided against a used RS6 and a new RS3. They are similar up until silly speeds. However the RS3 is more agile.
Those are two very different cars to consider. I would have thought RS3 more Golf R, A45, RS Focus territory if speed your main driver. The RS6’s strength is that it does it all with almost Bentleyesque levels of refinement, and that is the bit I really cherish. Nice car. Enjoy.

Agreed, I had a A6 BE Avant.... it was great at devouring the miles. My budget meant that I could consider both the RS6 and the RS3, both would be used for second car duties as well as weekend morning excursions. I didn't expect the RS6 to feel as boat like as it did to be honest. You correct though.Nice car. Enjoy.
Oh and I have owned some of the cars you mention, the RS3 facelift is so much more in my opinion.
Thanks.
I had the B8 and now in a 6PE for a daily and would like to know what impresses you about the RS3. Had one for a day when we were changing my wife's car and I was a little underwhelmed, quicker than the B8 but I didn't feel that it handled any better and offered less practicality. Not knocking, just asking.
