What sort of fuel consumption figure can I expect from a 2015 model RS6 Avant?
Have previously ran a 2006 B7 RS4 Avant from new, for 8-years and have a wee notion on an RS6.
Currently running a 2014 SQ5, which is a great performer with really good overall fuel mpg, however I fancy an RS6.
Journey wise, my daily travels tend to be shortish, at around 5-miles with the odd longer journey on a weekly basis.
So, mileage doesn't justify the change, but........ you know how it is!
Thanks in advance.

Performance cars don't like 5 mile trips. The car's never warm enough to use to its full.

I've been lucky enough to have covered quite a few miles in a variety of different C7 RS6s.

Smooth long run 30-32
Normal run 26-28

5 mile run from cold? 18 maybe.

Hammering it 10.

If you work on an average for normal driving of low-mid 20s you'll probably be about right.

I did a few test drives to see just that (helpful local dealer) was looking at getting rid of my BiTdi for an RS6 as commute dropped to about 5miles, but current thefts of these shelved that idea....and got a road bike for when I can be arsed lol

any hoo, driving like a nun from cold on b roads I got ~25-26mpg, (Engine oil also got to 65deg during that time- November temps) for comparison my Bitdi will get 28mpg on the same journey and similar engine temps.

The country isn't big enough to use an RS6 to its fullest wink

would very much like to drive those RS6's!!! i've had two, the first i had for 3 years and covered 40k miles and i'm up to 6k on the second one. The MOST i have ever got out of a 70l (15Gallons) tank is 365miles which is about 24mpg, that was ALL motorway. Typically I get around 280-300miles out of a tank. that's give and take motoring. As said, you can't thrash them very much, the roads aren't big enough. smile

Yep, would agree with that.

Run mine as a daily drive and get around those numbers.

My PE has now covered about 7000 miles from new and I'm starting to see a slight improvement, averaging just over 300 miles to a tank but if I nail it for any length of time you can halve that.

My 2015 f/l RS6 is my daily and I have averaged 23 mpg over 30,000 miles since new. Amazing car.
