Just had the front springs changed in the A8 as one of them snapped. After the change, the steering wheel doesnt sit straight and is slightly down to the left when in a straight line. Now it wasnt like this before, did they have to take something off the rack to do this?? Any ideas why this might have happened?? The garage is saying they didnt touch anything that would alter this, I just want your opinions.

Cheers guys.

Thanks, that could of course be what is wrong, my question really is why would this happen when they change the springs? I wouldnt have thought anything would have changed tracking wise or am I wrong?

Don't know the car, but I imagine changing springs means dismantling and reassembling at least some of the front suspension, in which case you would need to reset the tracking afterwards which could alter the steering wheel position if not done correctly.

If they didn't set the tracking, I would ask why not.
