91 mk2 gti- rattle in rear shock absorber??
Discussion
Hi, There is an annoying rattle which is coming from around the drivers side rear wheel arch area. I have had someone sit in the back to identify its location and it is coming from the outside- it can also be heard when standing beside the car whilst it drives past. I have checked and can see nothing loose anywhere- could there be something inside the shock absorber which is rattling? Or anything else? Thanks!

Brake Bias spring/valve actuator.
On pas side tho on a Mk2 I think.
If not an arb mounting I'd vote for shagged top mount or indeed what ive had before is the rear spring top mount plate thingy has corroaded away, or even worst case a broken spring chattering.
Yeah i think ur right....bias is on nearside, but could sound like its on offside i suppose....concur with what you say on the other items too.
