fast idle

My mk2 gti fast idle from cold has become none operational.Any ideas which sensor controls the initial fast idle.Cheers

There are three connectors on the right ahnd side of the cylinder head (if facing the front of the car) IIRC.

Problem can also be caused by a grubby ISV.

Check the bentley manual for location of sensors. It's better than Haynes and free.
