Having recently purchased an R32 I was wondering whether anyone could recommend a specialist performance tuner in the South?
It would be a bonus if there are any about that could carry out the work without invalidating the warranty.

if you speak to amd at www.auto-amd.com they have some pretty impressive results with golf r32s, i take my car to them and they are genuinely interested in what's best for the car not how much they ca charge

disclaimer: i am in no way affiliated with this company except in the ways mentioned above

Perhaps I should have mentioned that I need to drive to work in it. With that sort of modification only one of two things is gonna happen; either I lose my licence on the way or I reach the pearly gates first.

Have heard AMD mentioned before so may have a word with them.

What sort of performance are you talking about?

If you are thinking of chipping, then personally I wouldn't do this. I would make sure you car has the latest 6364 VW ECU update (good for around an extra 10-20bhp over quoted stock 239) and maybe get an exhaust.

Some people have had their chips tested on the rolling road against the VW 6364 map, to find no difference! A waste of £800 or whatever AMD charge IMHO.

www.tyresmoke.net is where a few of us R32 owners hang out if you have any other questions

I thought about it for mine, but there's no point as I'll only keep it another 6 months. The minor difference can be achieved with a little more driver commitment. Save loosing another k or so on trade in.
