What's the largest wheel size and tyre aspect that can e fitted to a mark II Golf GTI 89 16v. This is for best performance and not bling.????? all answers on a post card, Ah! to hell send a reply right here. Ta you lot.

Id not want to go any bigger than 7X15 wheels with 205-215/50/15 tyres.

Yeh the slicks are indeed ex clio cup racer tyres & are in in race tyres size which i never really understand, roughly 200/50/15 is a sorta comparison I think.

I've driven on most & 15 inch def best IMHO, for track 6.5 or 7j & 195/50/15 is perhaps the best tyre of the lot in normal sizes, tho some Golf lads use 205/50/15 when 195 not available in certain track tyres like the Colway F2 & Mich cup sports- & I have some of the latter in that size ive yet to try.
