Wheel Arch Damage - Repair Estimate
Discussion
Hello
Long time reader, first time poster! I am after some help / advice if possible? I returned to my A4 (2017 sline) on Saturday to find that someone have ever so kindly reversed in to the front of the car, causing some damage on the wheel arch.
Having never been in this situation before I am a little bit stuck with what to do.

Any help would be much appreciated.

- Should i go back to the dealer and get it repaired in their body shop? How much is this likely to cost?
- Are these kerbside places any good? AutoRestore / Revive etc
- Is there anything i can do to fix it? I tried the hot water method but I didnt want to put too much force in to it incase i pulled the panel away.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Callum
Sorry to hear that
Both panels out of shape so a roadside effort is always going to be a bit bodgy.
From your pictures I'd say both panels are savable but you'll be looking at something in the area of £700.
Main dealer quote I expect to start over £1000 as they'll want to fit a new wing.

I would say about £500-£700. But if you have it done in London it may be <£1k.
It may be cheaper to buy a bumper and wing on Ebay in that color. Have a look.
Avoid Audi main dealers. Find a decent local independent paint shop.
Trust me it will be better to pay for a better job. Avoid mobile sprayers, 90% of them are no good and certainly not good for long time fixes.
By the way, price is not necessarily an indication of quality. If you don't know much about paint finishes get a mate who does to help look over the repair and also inspect any existing work from the paint shop.

HMAN - I am north East London, but am often in the Leeds / Sheffield / Manchester area.
I know of a good body shop in Leighton Buzzard that do very good rates if it is a job which you yourself are paying for, work is guaranteed for 5 years (I think).HMAN - I am north East London, but am often in the Leeds / Sheffield / Manchester area.
You'll need to take the car there for them to look at it I expect - let me know if that would suit
