Afternoon all,
I placed an order for an S4 saloon on Friday and I'd like to know if any other owners are on PH. I won't get mine until May so let me know how you're getting along with it.

My spec is:
  • Mythos black Daytona grey paint
  • Red nappa interior
  • Carbon inlays
  • Black styling pack
  • Light+vision pack
  • Adaptive suspension
  • Flat bottom wheel
  • Roll-up blinds
  • Electric folding mirrors+memory+auto dimming
  • B&O 3D sound system
  • Quattro differential
  • Red callipers
  • 19" V-spoke wheels
  • Memory seats
  • Acoustic glass+privacy glass
  • Traffic recognition
  • Hill assist
Should be a fun car to own coming from a 2003 Forester XT (although it'll gut me to part with it).

Had a B8 S4 and currently have B8.5. Im still 14 months out from a B9 but that damned AMG43 estate has grabbed my attention. Press reports weren't initially very upbeat about the B9 S4 but the more recent ones seemed to praise it a little more. Sticking a marker down for replies to your OP

My friendly dealer was trying to lure me back to S-Cars but I had a feeling that might be the case, so I specced up a 3.0Tdi quattro to as close to S4 as I could instead. Very pleased with the resulting car. But, this thread is about S4s, so I shall depart. getmecoat

I came out of a B8 RS4 into a B9 Allroad 268bhp diesel. I did have a test drive of the B9 S4 and was very impressed with it as a car, but the fuel consuption was the main niggle, I didn't think I'd end up getting much more than the RS4. Or not enough more mpg...
If I didn't care for mpg I'd have one, in Avant style. But the head ruled the heart too much.

Changed it to Daytona Grey and removed the black pack. Week 15 build so should see it in 6 or 7 weeks.

Daytona Grey's fine - good colour for hiding dirt.

I'd have kept the black pack - looks great on S/RS Audis IMO.

Had I kept it black then I'd agree as it's nice on dark cars but I didn't like the contrast. I've got tinted windows so there are silver, grey and black on the car and I quite like it. It reminded me of a 1.8 TDI too much but I think I'll be happy either way. I've had too many black cars so something with a bit of pop is nice.

Daytona is nice BUT once even slightly dirty just looks like any other boring Audi.

The car is finally at the port waiting to come to the UK. Not a bad turnaround I suppose and only another 3 weeks until I can collect it.

There are loads of us on the S5 thread with our cars, which are basically an S4 in different clothes. Maybe have a look through the S5 threads see if there is anything you find interesting if you haven't done so already. I personally think the S5 lease and tips and tricks threads ought to be renamed to include the S4 since its 99% applicable and the latest lease deals are on the S4 but there is a lot of relevant info on the S5 thread.

Order in - fingers crossed.
Leased- so minimal options. Will share prices once I have an order number.
Black on black (yawn)- thought about red but neshed it at the last minute as work can involve the odd dirty day, and missus likes indigo jeans. Can you imagine the cost of a retrim?
Flat bottomed wheel, due to being tall.
Virtual cockpit due to being attracted to big bright things.
And that's it.
Not looking forward to folding my own mirrors. frown

Same spec as my S5 other than I have red interior. Good choice!

I've had its little brother A4 252 quattro for the past 6 months and loved it, I can imagine with another 100hp it would be even better.

There seems to be a good deal on fleet sauce for £275 inc vat per month but £3600 deposit and 8000 miles and the grey leather is a no cost option. This has caught my attention as I was very tempted by the S5 deal but changed my mind and extended my lease on my Golf R by 6 months. Would an S4 be the best option?
