Just bashed my first Impreza in one, caught him out between 80-85 in fifth then he caught up

Its a vastly superior car to the last 2 VWs I have had,a 1.8T and a borrowed A4,its quite frankly stunnig for what it is,apart from the diesel bit

80 to 85, not much of a bashing

I was being sarcastic

It was standard Scoob and upto 110 he couldn't pull away.It was fun while it lasted just watching him try

Thought the Mk IV GTTDI was a 1.9 turbo diesel, at least that's what mine is!

I had a race down a sliproad and onto the M3 with a MkV GTTDI. we were neck and neck until I hit 3rd gear, then my MkIV simply pulled away. 4th, 5th, then 6th saw him unable to touch me. (I suspect the chip might have had something to do with it though )

Incidently, I was playing with a Jap imported STi on a dual carriageway, and, whilst he waw infront of me, no matter what he did, he couldnt pull away from me

lol,i take it you have a chipped PD 150 Mrk IV? that will easily muller a GT,unless they are remapped.................anyway,stop racing VWs,batter Scoobs and make them feel silly

Chipped 130 actually. Found the 150 too hard on the suspension. Driving it was no comfort. the 130 suspension a lot more forgiving. your right tho... getting far to old to "Race" these days

He wasn't trying then, or the road wasn't clear enough for the difference to show.
