Following on from the Lease on Golf R where several pictures were posted I thought it might be nice to have a gallery.

I'll start:

Manual with the only option being the paint colour

It's a Golf mate, we all know what they look like. Christ, there's enough of them around.

seen it talked about on here allot so thought i'd look in, is that it?

what happeened to specials having swollen arches and some subtle buldges?

i understand the discreet nature / wolf in sheeps clothing approach but not on a 'hot' hatch., needs a little tweeking really, body shape is nice for a standard car so could have worked well.

(beauty is subjective, not so sure on looks for purpose)

That's exactly like the one across the road from me, at least the other 2 further up the road are different colours, don't get me wrong I love them but they're everywhere now

I've seen two in the last three months round my way. Not exactly Ford Focus common...

Anyhow, I'll be adding +1 to the local quota of 7Rs this week when I collect mine at long last smile

The downside of the silly cheap lease ideals is the over inflated numbers on the road.

On a motorway schlep from Lancs to Oxon today i encountered no less than 7 during the journey & all looked somewhat rep-mobile judging by the drivers (except one that was driven by a very attractive blonde).

Am a big fan of these cars, but when something sells cheap it attracts different buyers & volumes go up.

I keep reading comments about how everyone has one. I see less than 1 a day.

It seems that if people live or work near someone that has one then it must confirm that they are absolutely everywhere.

Anyone who says everyone has them is of course exaggerating, however they are unusually common. Quite rare for a top of the range model to outsell it's middle of the range counterparts, however when VW were offering them for the same financial outlay, then anyone with an ounce of interest in more exciting motoring would opt for an R rather than the lesser (but still good) GTI. I see more R's than i do GTI's & the numbers seen on my journey today were one way so certainly not the same vehicles, although it could be agued 1 or 2 may have been duplications for one reason or another.

Hell, i took an F10 M5 initially due to the crazy deals (similar in principle & relative to the Golf R deals) back in late 2013, but then managed to fall in love with the car & has now become the best & most enjoyable car i've ever had.
