115bhp TDi and 130bhp..... tuning box the same ?

Hey,

I used to have a 115 bhp TDi PD Golf.

colleague wants to buy the tuning box I had off me for the 130 bhp Audi A4 he has...

The connectors will fit but will this work ? Or more importantly will it damage the Audi ?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Depends what box you have but if you look on the manufacturer website it should tell you.

I bought it from mrhoot.com about a year ago.

It's an analogue one (no power required)

Worked quite well so thought we'd give it a try.

It's definetly the right connectors.. !

Tried looking on their website but the photos have all changed.

It was made by Dragon Performance I think.

Tried plugging this into a new Audi A4 1.9 TDi 130 and the connectors are different !! What's that about ? or are we just blind ?

I believe in the Golf, the 100,110 and 115 engines are the same, and the 130's and 150's are the same.
but ... the 115's and the 130's are different.

anyone able to back me up ?

Fairly sure you're right on that. lowwer powered engines are onder designs.

That's not strictly true. The PD100 is the 'newest' of those listed IIRC

Hmm I thought that the 100,110 and 115 were all the same engine, just the boost was wound up.
and... the 130, and 150 were all newer PD designed engines

Then ofcourse you have the newest PD140 2 litre engine that aint as good as the older 130/150 units

The 110 isn't even a PD engine, whereas those others you list are.

I thought the 130 was the same as the 115 ?? Just better fuel mapping etc.......

I thought the 115, 130, and 150 were the same and

the 90 and 110 are not as good but they're the same as each other.

I know the 115 untuned was a lot faster than a bora 110 also untuned and the 115 with the box was almost as good as a 150 dare I say !
