Looking to buy RS2
Discussion
I'm looking to buy an RS2, seen advert in classifieds. anyone out there got one or had one?
I've had several porsches, but a recent divorce, 2 kids and a new business mean a level of practicality is in order. I love the idea of the Q car and obviously keen on the porsche influence with this car.
Any comment good or bad about this little known gem gratefully received.

Go for it! But beware, I am biased....
As you have mentioned they provide fantastic performance in a Q car wrapper and rock solid engineering. However, consider that if things do go wrong they have the running costs associated with a £46K, short production run, supercar.

There are some knowledgeable folks on www.S2forum.com too.
Basically, the usuals, check for FSH and or specialist and be confident it has not been abused.(HPI it too). These cars require TLC but when looked after are capable of intergalatic mileages and are extremely reliable.
Good luck.
Steve.

Ive serviced quite a few of these in the past and had engines out of them etc,bad points the pads can stick in the calipers due to the stainless strip in the caliper,as the calier rots away it forces the strip onto the pad, front lower wishbone inner bushes not realy up to the job so come mot and depending on how hard you drive can wear quite quick,
not bad cars as long as theyve been well looked after as with any car,
Dale.

I bought one a few weeks ago to replace my cerbera.
Fantastic!! Real world is probably that bit quicker on the roads day to day.
But......
I'm not sure it's really me, though it does everything well & is in mint condition with 2 owners from new,
i miss that V8 noise.
Mail me if you are seriously interested.
