A question on behalf of my father-in-law.

Anybody got any advice / suggestions on chipping a new VW Touareg 3.0 TDi Sport.

Is it best to run the engine in for a few thousand miles first?

etc etc

Why chip a truck?

Sell it and buy an Audi A6 Avant diesel. Faster, better handling, better economy and fewer insults.

Why's everyone being so unhelpful today?

Speak to AMD in bicester. They do a lot of chipping on VW diesels so amy be able to recommend something.

richardt - is that the new V6 or in-line 5? Why was the 2.5 the five and not the 2.5 V6 as in the A6?

I like the five cylinders, but don't like the V6's.

Am I confusing you yet?

You're quite right.
the five cylinder Audi engines were the best they ever made; absolutely magnificent power units and available in so many different specs.
The V6 isn't quite the same, and it certainly isn't as long lived.

Superchips MD has a V10 Touareg with a remapped ECU... you can never have too much torque....
