Performance upgrades for a Skoda

Can anyone recommend a good place for performance upgrade for an old shape octavia

it is a 110bhp tdi.

could do with more power and better handling.

what sort of mods and how much?

From what I have read, most diesel tuners can give you 30 - 40 bhp more just by simply chip tuning the car.
Have a look at Van Aken Developments (Near Bracknell) they have done a lot with the Audi/VW/Scoda/Seat stuff in the past

AMD tune all manner of VAG cars.

For Tdi they claim 30 bhp, 40 lbsft torque increase for about £550.

They also do the 'one-click' which is a plug in programmer that enables you to 'chip' and 'de-chip' the engine yourself I think it gives less of an increase but costs less and is reversible/reprogrammable as many times as you like.
