VR6 Performance
Discussion
The most cost-effective engine upgrade for the VR6, particularly the 2.8L VR6 in the Golf is to
1. Replace the throttle body with a large-bore gas-flowed item (generally on an exchange basis)
2. Change the airbox for an induction kit
3. Have a rolling-road remap (done in conjunction with the above).
AmD in Bicester and Stealth Racing in Leamington Spa will both be happy to do these and it won't break the bank (few hundred quid maybe).
If it's a Mk3 Golf you'll also want to sort out the appallingly sloppy handling with a suspension upgrade.
