VW Golf towbar wiring
Discussion
Trouble wiring up my new (used) towbar...it's the pukka VW one so is supposed to just plug in to the harnesses, but it didn't come with any instructions
Looks like I have plugs to put in series with each tail light (which side is which?), a relay to mount somewhere in the boot and a long wire which goes forward to the fuse box somewhere(? - to make the dash indicator work?)
Thanks for any help.

For the benefit of anyone else who has this problem, I now know that:
- plug A goes in series with the wire to the NS tail light
- plug B goes in series with the wire to the OS tail light
- plug/relay C gets mounted in the OSR wing behind the trim panel
- D is a permanent live, to be connected anywhere convenient.
Only remaining question is that while this makes all the lights work on the trailer, the handbook implies that I should get a repeater light on the dash for trailer indicators but I don't.
