Intermitently the EBF (Favorit) looses power then theres a sucking noise from the engine. The engine will not pull but idles.
Any attempt to accelerate just makes the sucking noise louder
The fault clears and away we go again
Technical tips please

Partially collapsed hose between the air intake and throttle body?
Air filter "collapsing"?
Foreign body stuck in the air intake?

It might be worth asking the question on Briskoda (www.briskoda.net)

Edit: just had another thought - an intermittent air leak downstream of the airflow sensor will fool the ECU into injecting far too little fuel, resulting in loss of power.
