ABS Warning Light
Discussion
My friend has an Audi 2.8SE A4. He has just had the driver's side CV joint changed and now the ABS warning light has started to stay on all the time. Would appreciate any advice as to the cause.

90% of the time it is a loose connection or a dirty sensor. Tell your friend to take it to a garage that has VAG - COM and they will be able to plug it in and diagnose it. It is possible, as I think you are suggesting, that the garage moved / damaged something when changing the CV joint. If it is the same corner of the car then you may have some scope to go back to the garage.
Have a quick look under the car and trace the sensor lead back from the wheel hub area. It is possible that they simply just forgot to re connect it.
