Many thanks for the compliments.

I have Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2's all round. I read that the dunlops were causing vibrations so I had them changed before I bought the car.

Its Phantom black I believe, with cream cream leather and graphite panels... only had 19k on the clock when I bought it.

Nice!

Its nice to know that the RS5 is not much quicker than a S5 0-60 and also by the looks of it on public roads there is prob not too much in it between the cars. Apparently the S5 is a better place to be in... however I love the look of the RS5... I don't think its worth the premium on the used market over the S5.

Lovely car but seriously, scrimping on tyres by putting the wrong size on a car like that... rolleyes You do realise they should have been 255/35's wink Someone pulled a fast one.

Edited to add, not having a go but you do realise those tyres are also below the correct load rating (150kg a corner under) for the car dont you!! yikes They should be 96Y on 19's.

I did not know that. The dealer put them on! I have no clue about tyre size etc etc

I have just researched it and found it cound invalidate my insurance in the event of a claim.

On the motorway I get about 27mpg approx.

It has been as high as 30.3mpg on a 200 mile trip, on the way back I drove a bit (ahem) faster and got 24-25mpg so overall on a 400 round trip I got so approx 27.5mpg.

Now for a 4.2L V8 27mpg is not too bad.

Around town I get approx 19mpg.

Our other car is a Toyota Prius which gets 56mpg all day long, so the way I look at it our family combined consumption averages 34mpg between the 2 cars we own wink The V8 suddenly looks quite good thanks to a bit of creative accounting!

I've only done one longer run (Sunday service then Stratford Upon Avon in the PM) and did about 22 for the whole day, driven in a 'spirited' fashion.

Mid 20s sounds about right for a smoother run but life is too short for that wink

Indeed, I'd be having a word in the ear of whoever fitted them for you to ask what they thought they were playing at, if you had a shunt or one of the tyres gave out if you had to make a severe manouevre I'm not sure I'd want to be in your shoes.

I have sent in a email asking them to sort it out. If they don't I will sort it out myself and take them to a small claims court. The goods are not fit for use. Should be a simple case in court. I had to be quite forceful as they took the micky with other things... Took 3 months to get my service sent to me... After weekly emails and phone calls!

This will be the second time I will be taking a car dealer to court, and hopefully winning!
