Petrol Golf hot start problems

By hot start problems I mean on a hot day, not when the engine is hot.

Are there any known issues surrounding this?

Sounds like vapour lock. Carb or Inj?

Not actually my car but its MK3 so assume its injection.

She also said that she can smell petrol sometimes when its hot but can't find any leaks. I some seals can seap in the heat but it doesnt explain the starting issues.

I have told here to prime the fuel system a few times (ignition on and off) and see if it makes any difference.

Poss coolant temp sensor, or air temp sensor problem then......
