I am looking for a replacement "family car" and have seen S2's in my price range (up to £5000) in autotrader, are there any beter sites with these for sale and any idea of insurance costs (41years old FNCD, will be parked on driveway in bedford)

For 5K you are looking at a car with about 140 - 150k miles on the clock, not that thats a real problem.

I spent quite a bit of time looking for something with lower miles but after getting gazumped a couple of times I gave up and bought a VR6.

S2, based on the 80, thus not all that big.

I like the VR6 but unfortunatly I have two dogs so I need an estate
