I am thinking of buying a 97 P 2.8 Cabriolet, it has done 61000 with Audi servicing up to 44000, it looks like this was the last service back in 2002. The garage I am buying it from said they will give it a full service before I buy.

Has anybody had one of these, what did you think.

When should the cambelts need changing and how much will it cost.

Any info on the cars or what to look for will be greatly appreciated.

Fantastic looking car, not too bad to drive but the mechanics of the car date back to the 80's! Say no more! The heaters are patheic so demisting is a nightmare and the interior is looking very dated now.

www.12v.org will give you engine info.

It may be better to go for the 2.6, as the 2.8 is rather thirsty and doesn't give a huge performance advantage.
