Motor is due 3/3/22.
Actually getting excited now.
Just need to ditch a car and sort insurance.
And, as above, plan for £300 a tank of diesel.
Very good! What spec colour and engine did you go for? I've said it a few times but I think these Toerags are quite underrated motors. Actually getting excited now.

£300 might be pushing it but we'll see £200 tanks before summer I reckon. Actually getting excited now.

Not sure if the new Touareg's have 100 litre tanks.
Debating cancelling my order. Lease is 9x35 10k per annum £551 a month with met paint and interior lighting.
Just had the 12 month formal extension quote for my wifes current Touareg Black Edition. It was leased on a 12x23 10k per annum at £384 a month. For another 12 months and another 10k miles the price went down to £352.
Might take the cheap 12 months and then see where things are on another year. My only worry is in a year getting into something like a Touareg Black Edition will cost way more than £550 a month. So do I take a cheap 12 months or lock in 3 years at £550. Hmmmmm

You'll need to get a service and tyres if not already done, might be able to dodge the MOT if you're careful, but at 352 I would be sorely tempted to hang on. In another year will there not also be a model refresh?Just had the 12 month formal extension quote for my wifes current Touareg Black Edition. It was leased on a 12x23 10k per annum at £384 a month. Out of interest, does anybody have any feedback on the V6 TSI in comparison to the TDI? I'm driving the TDI but it's due back end of this year, intrigued to hear how the petrol equivalent feels?
Cheers
Thirsty and you miss that lug of mid range torque. I would rather have the weaker powered diesel than the petrol one. Cheers

Just requested to extend mine by 12 months. Current mileage is already on 18k (8k a year is my contract) so already 2k over. Will see how much this effects the new quote.
I was confused as on VWFS it stated you can do 3 months straight away or apply for 6-12 months? Is that the same with everyone elses?
You can do 3 months informal extension on the same terms with VWFS. With the supply chain issues and delayed deliveries etc you can currently also request 6 months on the same terms via the website https://customer.vwfs.co.uk/Forms/contract-hire-ex...I was confused as on VWFS it stated you can do 3 months straight away or apply for 6-12 months? VWFS are also allowing people to extend on the same terms for as long as needed if they have another VWFS group car on order and can produce an order number.
To extend for 12 months its a formal extension and a quote is required. You also have to complete the duration of the contract. A quote is created by the random number generator that is the VWFS machine. The price might shoot up, plummet of stay roughly the same. Its a lottery in most cases.
You can request a quote for a formal extension 6 months out from the end of agreement date. Each quote is valid for 30 days and then you can request another. My advice is request a quote at 6 months and if the price is not suitable keep requesting a quote every 30 days as the price will change.
When I extended my S5 the current monthly was £412. First few quotes were over £1,000 then eventually I received £374 a month and accepted. Still kicking myself I didnt buy the car after the lease. I was offered it for an incredible £23,500 but couldnt be bothered with sorting a loan etc. Could have sold it for nearer £30k right now.

First quote just came back £410pm for an extra 12 months. £50 less pm which I pay now. Very happy and going to take them up on it
Excellent mate. Mine were all 12 month requests and came out as follows as part of the first quote requestno additional mileage £309
extra 5k miles £329
extra 10k miles £352
current payment £375
Going with option 2 as the car has way less than 10k miles currently so the chances of getting anywhere near 25k miles by Sept 2023 is slim to none.

Sorry if this has been asked before but did you have your quotes all at once? And if not how long do they last for?
I think I’m sticking with the quote I got. Even if I go about 4k miles over it’s only 9p a mile extra so this works out best. Especially in the current climate to get a quote cheaper than what I’m paying now is good for me.
Edit: realised you are paying £375, is that for the Touareg BE? That’s a fantastic deal if so.

If you are happy with the quote go with it - the next one might be more expensive!

I even think Dec is unlikely if you look at the production line shutdowns and parts issues. I recently cancelled a GTI CS that was ordered as part of a batch by Inchape in June 2021. I took the deal with Arval early Jan 2022 on the premise of end of June delivery. It then moved to July, September, November and now early 2023.
I suspect cars for customers on PCP via dealerships are being prioritised over lease vehicles. No proof of that just a suspicion.
We extended our current Touareg for £329 a month but I am keeping this one on order. The extension takes us through to Sept 2023 and at this rate, the other Touareg might only arrive a few months before that in which case they can hold it. Can see it happening!

I ordered direct through VW earlier this year as they advised they had an allocated stock order placed in May 2021…. No positive news since - I conclude the vehicle won’t arrive this year and as time slips on and the next Touareg refresh gets closer the more my interest also slips away…
I get where your coming from but I'm less fussed about the mid life refresh. If it was a new model I would definitely bail out. Styling tweaks front and back and a refreshed colour palate and the big screen as standard are all I expect. Prices will of course go up and the lease deals now are way above what we have all agreed to so given the black edition is fully loaded anyway im inclined to stick I think. Benito88 said:

Just as I’d given up hope I got this from VW dealer, I’ll probably go for it and get rid of the 840 as timing works well and I don’t fancy driving another winter with it. Not sure about the moonlight metallic on the Touareg but should look ok
‘I’ve found a Touareg Black Edition in Moonlight Blue Metallic which is confirmed for production and due to arrive with us approx August/September, I just wanted to let you know in case you’d like to swap to that rather than the Silicon Grey? The scheduled build date on your original order is now showing as April next year!!’
What colour is your 8 series? Moonlight Blue reminds me of Carbon Black on my 840.‘I’ve found a Touareg Black Edition in Moonlight Blue Metallic which is confirmed for production and due to arrive with us approx August/September, I just wanted to let you know in case you’d like to swap to that rather than the Silicon Grey? Yep just had confirmation they’ve swapped the order over and production starts this week….. it wouldn’t have been my first choice but given there are so few available lease options out there and build times keep moving I’m going for it. It feels like it will be a long time before any decent deals come back on the market if at all :-(
I think it will look nice. Almost black in dull light but have a pop when in the sun. What was your deal?Benito88 said:
9 + 35 @ 10k miles £530 ish … a half decent deal given what they’re asking currently - just nothing else out there to consider atm that’s either reasonably priced or available in under a year :-(
Similar to mine. Alot dearer than our current one 9+35 10k miles 551 Inc extended int lighting and aqua marine blue. Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
