Mine's in today for an overnight stay. Planning on keeping it until at least 150,000 miles then the crib sheet from the work being done today and tomorrow should make for a very reassured next owner!
The Allroad went in on Monday, but due to a part being needed last minute, then an oil leak on the test drive, the car stayed in until Thurs. All good now, nice to have the car back, and the expensive bits done!

Only took me 8 months to respond! 2017 A4 All Road was purchased and we have been running it without issue since. It is in matador red, which I think looks great and stands out from the usual black / grey. We have some winter tyres on it and I have been really surprised at the level of grip on the roads that have been frosty / snowy / icy!

Thankfully rear leg room isn't an issue - our biggest requirement was a big boot for a large dog!
Haha no problem - a great colour; do post a pic or two!

I've a 2015 Allroad with 136K on the clock now, but the 272 version. If you test-drive any, make sure you try out the ride height on the highest setting (via the "car" button on the MMI) and if you get any squeaks (usually from the rear) it can be a DIY job to fix/grease up - I think someone on here has done it themselves a couple of pages back, but given the mileage on my car and that it was going in for other stuff last month, I had the rear top mounts and bump stops replaced.

Otherwise, try to get one that has the better nav, which comes with a bigger screen and a touchpad down by the gearstick instead of radio preset buttons. It still surprises me that many later models still came with the lesser nav (even 320s I see on AT), as it really ages the car, but I suppose it doesn't bother everyone!

Have owned for 9,500 miles and 15 months. Previous to this I had a 2017 Avant, also a 272.

I'd say it was late 2014 so I would look at 2015 on for facelift models. Hard to tell though - I look at the headlights and gearstick for the giveaway.

Admittedly this will be at least a C7, not just an Allroad, problem, but thought I'd point out that the front centre armrest can be known for getting stuck in the most upright position.

I went to defrost the car on Friday morning, and went to stick my phone on charge whilst doing so, and after having lifted the armrest, I'm unable to put it back down again. Seems to have happened due to the cold temperatures we've been having.

There are two fixes I've seen on YouTube. One is to expose the mechanism by removing the rear vents/climate control unit and the second is a "drill a hole in the plastic here to release" biggrin

Have yet to give either a go.

Thanks, have tried that but it's pretty tight. I can slot a knife between the bottom of the armrest and the console but can't get it moving. I'm wondering if a warmer cabin might help but not doing long enough journeys at the moment!
WD40 next.

Just picked up my new to me 2015 A6 Allroad 3.0 BiTdi as a family wagon.
Welcome - nice car and with adaptive cruise!

On my previous post about the armrest, I have fixed it by following the instruction of a Russian chap on YouTube by drilling a small hole to then be able to push the mechanism back into action. All good. Well, I drilled two holes but they're hidden now the armrest's back down!

Nice one on your acquisition - post up a pic!

They're great cars - my 272 passed through 140,000 miles at the weekend.

Our Allroad is fast approaching 150K miles so I am keeping an eye on others.

I guess it's the used market as a whole though, but I'll be looking at approx £10K cost to change from Autotrader's current private sale estimate.

Would like at least a 2017 model (for LED interior lights) but it still surprises me how many late models inc the BiTDIs have the SD car nav (but then the same can be said for C7 S6s too).

Will probably stick to the 272. The [vague] hunt is on.

If it's any help, my 67 plate 272 (Sport with the larger screen and 66k miles) was advertised for £23,250 and sold pretty quickly. There seems to be a demand for them. I got £20k as a trade-in.
Thanks Jobbo - good to know. If I'm going to get another Allroad, it won't be a C8 so I wonder if that model might have something to do with strong C7 demand?

Sorry to hear that, but 190K is a good life!

It looks like my Allroad ownership -might- soon be coming to an end!

At just under 143,000, yesterday I got the whiff of burnt oil, both in the cabin and a more so when stood next to the car.

I had hoped to move on to another, later C7 but I'm looking at seven-seat Kodiaqs in order to be future proof but I don't also want to spend the dosh on another Allroad and find the suspension (for example) needs sorting as only sorted on my one in Jan.

I need first to get the car checked out by the specialist who did the work in Jan - and see where to go from then.

The Allroad has gone!

The issue was sorted by an AA call-out on Thurs and the car went on Motorway this morning, sold and was picked up this eve.

Am seeing a Kodiaq on Monday. Would have liked another Allroad but in addition to the point above about suspension etc, I cannot (legally) put the inlaws in the back of an Allroad!

Having had a Kodiaq off the road for 8/9 weeks at the beginning of the year due to a failed mechatronics unit, I'm sorry to hear your news!

This is the Kodiaq that replaced my Allroad in June last year, luckily bought approved used, but a 19 reg with "just" 43,000 miles on the clock.

Can the existing unit not be fixed or definitely a new one required?
