Main bloody dealers !
Mine is still within extended warranty.
Having had some work done recently I have just called them to book another appointment to diagnose what sounds like a wheel bearing or similar related noise.
My dealer 12 miles away - next available appointment: 22nd JULY !! 50 days time??
My next nearest dealer 36 miles away - better. 20th f
king July. To tease that date out of them I had to reveal so much information, inside leg measurement, contact details etc. And I said 'no way is that the next date' - and she hung up.

^^^^ I had that noise too, and after replacing both front wheel bearings the noise was still there, in the end it was seized calipers on the front brakes, 2 of the inside pistons on the front left and 1 in the inside on the drivers side. which resulted in a very expensive bill for new discs/pads and calipers! Hope yours is not the same issue, but it does seem to be theme on the Audi forums both here and in the US where cars have the same front brakes.
An interesting thread I have stumbled across in a timely manner.
In the next few weeks the 911 has to go and will need to be replaced with something 4WD and able to tow a horse box. Prior to the 911 I had an L200 Barbarian which was great most of the time although quite limiting not having a boot that kept things a) safe and b) dry.
Was considering another RRS around ‘12 plate Black/Luxury edition but considering cost wise whether I could find a suitable estate car.
The issue seems to be the weights etc. however a few pages back it seems a couple of people have been happily towing donkeys around with an AllRoad and assume the air suspension/4wd is enough to deal with wet grass/muddy car park.
This could be an ideal solution possibly, plenty of space, comfort but with ability to tow.
The comment about all AllRoads being prepped for a tow bar does that mean the receiver ‘hole’ and electrics are there so if there am isn’t one it’s just a case of sourcing the ‘hitch’ part?

I’m not sure on the point about coming prepared for towing, but I had a Westfalia removable set up fitted to my AllRoad Sport, and the OH loves towing with it (annoyingly)In the next few weeks the 911 has to go and will need to be replaced with something 4WD and able to tow a horse box. I have had what you described fitted to our Tesla Y but she’s reluctant to use as a 1,600lg limit and he’s a big donkey.
I need to get the rig and he on the weighbridge as I’m certain for local jaunts a great solution too.
Having done a bit of Googling after I mentioned the towbar prep being standard, it seems it isn’t actually much - I think it may just be an electronics box that is fitted, certainly no physical towbar bits.
Plenty of Allroads I’ve seen for sale have had the factory tow bar so perhaps just worth finding one of those.

Interesting this - has the air suspension been removed to do this? I've always wondered if you can "mod" the air suspension on an Allroad to get it to go higher or lower than normal. The A4 has boggo, not air suspension, so not relevant here.
The a6 you can dial the air suspension right down to minimum on the MMI

Yes you can select ride height, but can you make it go really low (or really high). The A4 has boggo, not air suspension, so not relevant here.

Guess you are limited by the set size of airbags and dampers. But could you tweak the software to get higher/lower heights to be selected.
How's everyone's Allroads going? I've had mine a year next month. Can't believe how fast the time has gone.
Mine passed through 134,000 miles a few days ago. As mentioned previously I've got the squeaky suspension issue but also now cropping up occasionally is an issue with the handbrake (light on dash then flashing light on the handbrake button itself) so I am looking to get it booked in with the specialist in the next couple of weeks for those two issues.
Am intending to keep this one until at least 150,000 miles, all being well!

Mine passed its MOT recently with zero advisories at 134k miles. Still have a rattle from the front left that never showed up in the MOT, but I may well change the drop links as I have changed everything else bar those and the top mounts!
Over the last 4k miles I have averaged just over 40mpg, quite impressed with that given its turn of speed.
