So according to the dealer my Black Edition ordered in June has build date w/c 8th November. Fingers crossed
Hope that is correct as I should be a few weeks behind. My broker emails every Friday with a delivery update - interestingly (worryingly?) they failed to email last Friday. Will see what comes through tomorrow.Soton Thunder said:

Any update with yours? My original October delivery is now saying mid Feb. I don't think VW have any idea at all, seriously considering pulling out and looking again next year now. I'll need to extend my current car early November (annoying as I hate it) so I'll hopefully have a better idea then.Nick_MSM said:

Sorry to hear that. I've had no further update from the dealer so am hoping my "provisional" build week hasn't changed. Might have to give him a call to check.Nick_MSM said:

Nope mine still "provisionally" set for build in November. The dealer says for his budgeting and target purposes he has it down for delivery by end of December - but can't guarantee!Soton Thunder said:

Thanks for that - I'll give it another few weeks and see where I am then, is very frustrating and difficult to plan for but I guess most are in the same boat.Nick_MSM said:

I just want to put this out there.
I have just come out of a 24 month Touareg Lease and jumped into an XC90 R design… I am full of nothing but regrets that I didn’t get another Touareg

Ultimately reliable, loves it.
I often ask her if she wants a Range Rover.
You got to like the Range Rovers, but she won't part with her Touareg

I’ve had my Black Edition in white since early June and must say I’m made up with it so far! Comfortable, space to spare, pace when I want it and a relatively rare sight - so I wish I could say there are no problems. But there IS one problem….oil consumption. I’m at 5.5k miles and it’s asking for oil for the third time. I had a VW tech out to it only a few weeks ago and he said it was totally normal, but something doesn’t quite sit right. Our previous 435d never once asked for oil outside of serving over 4 years, and while I appreciate these are different marques/engines, surely VW haven’t engineered this block to want oil every 1-1.5k miles regardless of how it’s driven??
I’m keen to hear if anyone else has had the same issue? It’s back with VW on Friday for a round of checks and apparently I have to ask them to weigh the oil to measure the carbon content(?)
Look forward to any reply’s and also if anyone can advise if this post is better suited in another section please let me know.
Cheers all,

Cheers all,
I’ve had mine for just over a year. About. 14k miles on the clock, mostly long A road drives. It required a top up once about 3 months ago. (Single 1 litre container added) and its now measuring just above minimum.
It has recently started asking for its first adblue top up, minimum 1.5 gallons apparently.

Cheers all,
Had ours since Sept 2020 and 6k miles so far. No top up needed so far. I’ve had my Black Edition in white since early June and must say I’m made up with it so far!
