It looks quite smart on those wheels, and nice to see another C6 like mine in amongst all the shiney new(er) C7s!
your 212k miles makes me feel better about my car's 164k. I assume yours has had the timing belts done?

Going to look at a 2017 A4 All Road this weekend with the intention to purchase - anything to look out for?
How did your viewing go? Have only just come back to the thread but check you're happy with rear legroom. In addition, until a month ago there were two 2017 A4 Allroads in my extended family, both 3.0 272s. One had heated seats (front) and the other didn't so I guess they weren't standard at the time!Just for laughs, thought I'd mention that there's a Solar Orange Allroad 272 on Autotrader. I presume it's the same car that was on there a couple of months ago. Whoever is brave enough to go with the colour will get a well specced car - HUD, rear heated seats, roof, lane assist, adaptive cruise etc.

Just make sure anyone planning to buy it intends to keep it a loooong time. Trying to re-sell could be interesting.MisanoPayments said:

Definitely the same one I've seen before. Shame it's already done 60k miles, and I think it would look better with the grey rather than body-coloured arches. What is the 'dealer fit performance exhaust upgrade' they mention? Sounds like nonsense to me, and the exhaust tips don't look any different to mine.

Doesn’t look like it’s got towbar - basic requirement for most Allroad buyers Please can I pick your collective Allroad minds.
I currently drive a Volvo XC70 (their version of the Allroad) and absolutely love it. However, I'm looking for a change and the C7 A6 Avant in BiTdi form is currently top of the list. Should I be looking at the Allroad over the standard Avant? What are the differences, is one better than the other?

The Allroad comes as standard with air suspension. Other than that and the hill descent control, it’s all cosmetic changes from the Avant.
Having said that, I’ve driven normal A6s and there’s something about the Allroad; like the S6 I owned years ago, it has more character than a normal A6.

I'd say the same sort of things you'd look for or want on a standard Avant really. Principally, look at the nav, even if you'll never use it, the better nav comes with a bigger MMI screen and a touchpad down by the gearstick, where as the lesser version (smaller screen) has radio preset buttons there instead. Be careful, just because you're looking at the Bi-TDI versions, it doesn't mean they came with the better nav as standard!I currently drive a Volvo XC70 (their version of the Allroad) and absolutely love it. Sport trim on the Allroad is the equivalent of S-line on the Avant, so if I've got this right, any lesser a trim level on the Allroad comes with what I call the "flat" seats.
I changed from a Black Edition Avant to my Allroad Sport in October for two reasons, to free up cash for a house move and to not have a pristine, well specced Avant ruined by two kids and numerous Hampshire pot holes! When I was looking for the Allroad, I wanted the same engine (272) and at least BOSE and the better nav (as I had both (and more) in the Avant).
Let us know how you get on!

Will let you know how I get on, I won't however be looking at the orange one.

The standard seats also come with Milano leather not the nicer Valcona which you get with sports seats, though my preferred alcantara was a relatively cheap upgrade. The upgraded comfort seats would be a nice find but they seem very rarely specced.Sport isn't particularly sporty; you got 19" wheels rather than the standard 18"s and sport seats but the suspension settings were all the same. It also came with LED headlights, power-fold mirrors, electric seats and dark rear windows so if those are options you want, the Sport is worth finding.
C7 Allroad standard specs improved year on year so an early car advertised with £10k of options may only be specced similarly to a later Sport. 4-zone climate control became standard around the facelift (almost an irrelevance on the Allroad since virtually nothing changed visually) and heated front seats became standard around 2016.
There were plenty of options available according to the brochure but it's rare to see cars specced with much other than the tech pack, full paint finish, panoramic roof, parking pack or Bose.

Mine has ^^^ and self-close doors, rear blinds, cream leather and I wish it had keyless entry.PushedDover said:

Mine is a very early 62 plate BiTDi and has all of that. One of the reasons I bought it was the amount of options it had. However, one option I wish it did have over the xenon option was the matrix led headlights. But otherwise it has an impressive list of options that someone shelled out for when it was new, approx £14-15k worth on top of the base price of £52k.
