Just arrived home after 5 weeks of driving to, around, and back from, Italy. In our F-Type convertible.
4,500 miles (in 4 weeks as had one week in Villa), 29.4 av mpg and very very careful packing (hint don’t pack in cases or even squashy bags, use plastic bags to maximise space).
And it an exquisite experience, the Lakes, Tuscany, Amalfi were sincerely breathtaking and driving the car almost everyday was easy and comfortable (most miles in a day was 705).
The car never missed a beat, had not one single problem (2019 with now 56,000 miles), and I want to go and do it all again.
Fabulous car, fantastic country, incredible experience.

Is it the 3L or the 5L only asking as I am looking at either a Jag f type or Cayman GTS in the next 10 months.

29mpg isn’t to bad at all.
It’s the 3L. Kept motorway use to a minimum where possible but didn’t hold back on enjoying Tuscany, magnificent roads!!

Says a lot about modern Jags that you're somehow surprised it didn't breakdown in 4.5k miles...
Not surprised but common perception is what it is.
