98R or 99S XJR How much and what spec?

Im just selling my TVR 4.5 Cerbera. and going for a 4.0 XJR.

Ive seen a few and looking at a few this weekend.
Does this price seem fair 1998 R 55,000 Miles £14,900.

Also apart from a FJSH is there anything else I should be looking out for when looking over or test driving the car.

Im open on colour but personally feel the darker colours are better, ie black, jaguar racing green, dark blue etc.

<shameless plug>Mine is up for sale at £5000 less than that, although it is up on miles</shameless plug>

Things to look out for are timing chain tensioners, nikasil problems on pre 99 cars - but other than that I would say black with black interior suits the XJR best, because cream leather with light brown wood is a little too much old man for me.

I bought my 98R black one 6 months ago for £13,000. It had 64,000 and FJSH on it then.

And I love it!!

what i did was to find a higher milage one ie 90k ,with full service history and which had just had a main dealer replacement engine fitted,so you bypass the nikasil problem too,usually a few on autotrader most weeks
