Phone compatibility

Help please folks,
My xj8 is set up for the motorola startac phone, but the phone is missing.
Other than buying an antique phone, does anyone have any clues as to whether anything else is compatible?

Mike,

These days you can get a different cradle to rectify this, I presume it has some sort of cradle or cable? these are readily available from a good car phone shop.
It saves you from buying a complete car kit again.

Normally Mike you can, I did exactly the same on a Jeep I had, I simply bought the new cradle and routed just one cable to the module that is hidden somewhere behind the dash. Thats the only pain part of the install but its far simpler than paying another £200 or so to install a fresh system and ripping the whole dash apart...
Put a call into a reputable car phone dealer and enquire from the experts. I'm sure I'm not wrong....
