I have the XK8 with the factory fitted sat nav system. It seems very good so far but I'm a bit disappointed by the level of detail on the disks. I used to use a CD based system which had more detail over the same area as the DVDs in the Jag.

Does anyone here know:
1. Who makes the disks for Jaguar
2. Any way of getting better disks to run in the system eg, greater detail or wider area of coverage.
3. Any dodgy way of getting the data of these disks eg. Kazaa etc. I know it's naughty but these things are expensive ~ £200+ per disk and one disk per country. I'm feeling a bit miffed, I expected a DVD to cover all of Europe.

If anyone is interested I have UK and Benelux disks for Jaguar and VDO Dayton which I could upload to Kazaa.

Thanks in advance.

No, still haven't found out anything. I know Jaguar will not make these disks but I can't find out who does. I am impressed by the Tomtom navigator which you can run on a palm-top like an Ipaq. It's very accurate and you can get the maps off the net.
