Europe wide insurance (yawn)

I know this is not strickly (or even remotely) a Jaguar question but as the new owner of an XK8 I thought this the best place to ask.

I am English and so is my car but I work in Belgium and stay over there a lot. Does anyone know if there is such a thing as insurance that covers the car for so long in Europe?

I was in Frankfurt for the last four years, and I had my SS100 replica out there on UK insurance for two of those. The insurer was Footman James (www.footmanjames.co.uk).

It is possible to get a 12 month green card for the insurance, I did this with my Range Rover a few years ago. Ring round a few brokers to find the best price, I cannot remember who I went with now.
