Much as I love the car, I don't really feel safe
throwing it round a bit, like you can with a porsche or ferrari.

I don't just mean because of the weather etc but because I don't feel as though you get any feed back through the steering or automatic transmission.

Is it just me?

I guess it's all relative. I feel safer in my XJS than I did in my TVRs. Having ABS and some metal around me is a definate bonus.

I'll never really feel safe in any car I own.
IT'S BEING DRIVEN BY A NUTTER!

Shame you feel that way though. I've been considering an XK8 as my next car since I would like a more responsive cruiser. I was hoping one would fit the bill.

i ran a XKR coupe for a little while, but it wasnt mine so I didnt push it too hard. didnt fancy having to take back £50k's worth of bent Jaguar.

I know what you mean about the steering feedback though, i found it more of a tourer than sports car. VERY quick in a straight line though!!

My XKR was great but gave little feed back ,my guess is the first you would know about losing it would be the sound of bushs hitting the back of it
