Without wanting to start a major argument....

Seeing as I now have a Jaguar which I have wanted for a long time, it seems sensible to join an owners club...

Which is the best one to join?

PS. Has anyone had problems with the central locking. I Have to press the keyfob lots and lots of times before it decides to do anything, its a bit frustrating to say the least. Funnily enough though, the button controlling the boot release works everytime!!

I went through this dilema, I ended up with the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club, because they are more involved in Rallys and toures, the Magazine is well worth the subscription on its own.

Remote central locking, I do not have, but there does seem to be conciderable discussion about reprogramming the remotes, if the batteries are ok, maybe reprogramming will improve the reception, or try Jag-lovers.com

I have been in the JEC for 3 years now, friendly people, good events along with a good mag.

Not familiar with the precise hardware in question, but often with those little gadgets the little switches operated by the buttons are crap, and cease to make contact reliably. It could be that the more-used one has worn out. The cure is to take the thing apart and solder in a replacement switch.
