Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it.

At about 70 mph the mirrors move in slightly on both sides and I've noticed that they will move freely, but only a little, on both sides when touched.

Clearly they would move in, if knocked and then push out again, but this is different and only affects the mirrors by say 2 - 3 cm.

Anyone had this problem and know the answer please?

Davel,

You could try tightening the posi-drive screw that can be accessed via the plastic cover on the bottom face of the mirror stem housing. Be careful when removing these covers as they are snap-fit. BTW they (the mirrors) all do that, eventually!

Good luck.

Ask your friendly Jag dealer next time it goes in for a service...

Did exactly as you suggest and don't I feel a pr*ck.

The car apparently has electronic retracting mirrors, which must have been turned off mid-movement.

Once I found out how to operate them, they've re-set perfectly....

Doh!
