Guys, just a new thread with a heads up for you.

All going well but.....

******** 6 PLACES TO FILL ***********

MORE DETAILS HERE:

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?f=65&h=&t=58608

In short and for those of you that havent been or heard. It is...

- Exclusive use (all day)of a very wide 2 mile straight runway & circuit

- Electronic Top Speed recording

- A collection of widespread exotica (all kinds of porkers, ferraris, Maseratis, Nobles, Ultimas, Beemers, TVR's and some very wild Audi estates)with opportunities to get propelled down the runway as a passenger also

- Burger Van galore!

It just gets better.

Oh and a chance to meet some of the PH personalities frequenting these boards!

I've taken my Cerbera there in the past but I've always wondered what my XJR could do. It might shame a few things.

Let me see if I'm around.

I don't know, I'd hate to see all those Ferrari boys crying into their pasta as I overtake them

Still trying to sort the 12th.

O.K. O.K. I admit, I didn't have sport mode on, and I did have a nagging woman sat next to me telling me to slow down, and traction control did cut most of the power, but still!

Sorry, slightly off topic but how're you getting along with the new Maser, Craig?

Hi De,

Absolutely love it. Havent got around to getting digi camera working yet so no pics sorry.

Went away for a week with gf (who loves it) and baby, drove about 6/700 miles of motorway, tight country lanes and fast a & b roads.

It took all our luggage and us and was extremely solid & competant. (Pretty bloody quick too). More body roll than the Ferrari (naturally) and definitely more of a gt than an out & out sports. That said while it rolls it grips very well. The autobox very smooth and can use 1/2/3/D very well on the lanes to hold it in gear. Not much lag, sounds good and very very comfy & smooth. Quiet on motorways too.

All in all, the right time to change cars. Its also easy in traffic on my commute to work. Very pleased.

It gets a bit of attention too, mainly people giving you a smile or a complement not calling you a to$$er like they used to in the red car
