Went out yesterday to look at two 993s and determined to buy one - ended up buying an XK8 convertible!!

Didn't mean to do it but the finish, the heated rear screen and power hood and the luxury just made me do it. Wanted a 993 really but those seen didn't match her.

Collect her next week as they need to remove the stone chips etc. Stunning car with 44k miles but new engine installed by Jaguar 4k ago.

Carnival red with fawn power hood - gorgeous car! Will I regret the decision?

Nope! I really like XK8's although the R version would just be awesome. However alot of my friends think they are too long and cumbersome (for the US market it seems) - don't agree though! May get one myself one day.

Is the interior exceedingly sumptious?

Oh yes in beige/cream leather with wonderful looking wooden dash and part wood steering wheel - oh and chrome jaguar wheels!!!

It doesn't even look like a convertible as the interior roof looks so solid until you press the button.

They certainly know how to give that luxury touch. Was a little disppointed with the interiors of the 993s.

Good man!
Porche interiors have always put me off.
It may be heracy, but i'd sacrefice a bit of speed & handling for sumptuous (sp?) luxury anyday.

Good job it's got a new engine. Jag are no longer doing free replacements when the Nickasil coating gives out.

Enjoy yourself!

Apparently the engine was replaced two years ago and she's done 4k miles since, so barely run in!

Can't wait!

My old man has had Jaguars xk8s for years and always liked them. I always found them a very good grand tourer but naturally not too good on the twisty stuff. Good choice if you ask me and a good colour choice too.

Picked her up yesterday from Christopher Jackson's at Alderley Edge and she is gorgeous - even the wife and kids approve

Drives beautifully and much better interior than the 993 that I went to look at. The performance might not match but the finish is excellent.

Impressed with the dealer too.

Beautiful place and surrounding area but a tad expensive nowadays!

Nice walks round there too, if you park your car up (just to keep it motor related)
