XJR Fuel filler cap
Discussion
I have an 1995 XJR Straight 6 supercharged. A completely duff question now: How is rainwater supposed to escape from the fuel filler cap cavity?
There's no drainage hole of any kind and I'm tired of sponging out the water with paper towels before daring to open the submerged fuel cap..
Am I missing something??
Thanks in advance.

You should have an over spill drain plug down in the bottom-right-hand corner of the filler recess. This plug has three small round holes on top and aperatures along its length.
Regarding costs at a Jaguar dealer, find yourself a good independent specialist (may mean coming over to the mainland). The costs of official Jaguar parts and labour for these cars are horrendous.
Good luck,
