Around 10 years ago when I was 6, my dad sold his beloved S1 E-Type 4.2 I6 S1 Roadster. It was a beautiful Ice Blue Colour, with Red Leather. It was used for many press shoots, such as Robbie Williams' 1st album and other ads. The reg no is KEG10E, and it looks like this

(Excuse the quality, poor scanner frown)
Id love to know how its going and how she is. Many thanks, Ollie T

You could try search on

http://www.xkedata.com (in the US E-Types were known as the XKE)

They are trying to list all known E-Types left.

You could also try asking in the E-Type forum on

http://www.jag-lovers.org

I've always found them to be a really friendly group.

If you knew the chassis number it would be much easier. Do you or your father have any more details.

If the car was in good condition 10 years ago then the chances are it's still around.

Try the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club, I am sure that they would help track down a car, and certainly, in the last ten years, people haven't been scrapping nice E-Types.

I know the car well, I have forwarded a your question to the owner and he may well drop you a line in the near future to tell you how things are going.

Holy thread resurrection etc. but I’ve finally got an answer to the thread title. r56_ollie was my old account, so I am the OP under a different account.

The car turned up at JD Classics sometime in late 2013 or 2014, I can’t really remember. Derek from JD invited my folks and I to go and have a look, and wow did she look the part cloud9 A few minor upgrades, but essentially a very well sorted and beautifully restored E-Type. Pics from the ad;

It took a bit of time to sell, and I thought that was the end of that. However the old man took his XJR-s in for an MOT, and on the table was an old edition of Jaguar World, and lo and behold what was on the front cover?!

It’s now in America where the new owner has converted it to LHD, added fuel injection and installed some high-backed blue leather seats. I’ve yet to read the article, but I’ve found some pictures online of the new work.

I’m not sold on the upgrades personally, but I am happy that it’s out somewhere giving someone some serious fun, great to see it being used thumbup If the new owner is reading this, get in touch because we'd love to share some of the experiences and trips that this car has had in the past.

What a lovely car. Personally, I preferred the red interior.
