XJ8 advice mucho needed!!!!!

Hi to all. Brand new to this site and it looks excellent. Came across it while looking for info on the XJ8 on the web. Hopefully this is a suitable question for this forum but apologies if it isnt-anyway here goes!
Had two XJ6's in the late seventies/ early eighties and it was always a case of once bitten etc and I have always known at some point I will get another but I have obviously lost touch with the trials and tribulations of running one of these cars.
Anyway - Ive spotted one that has ticked all the boxes except one. The mileage. Its an 02 plate XJ8 sport with 111k on the clock. The dealer offers a three monthes P+l warranty which is worth less than the paper it is written after checking in to it and I cant find another company that will warrant it with this kind of mileage. My problem is Im a classic worrier -The car appears mint and does run like a swiss watch and comes with a full main dealer service history - the last sevice at 108k. I would really appreciate some advice on the pitfalls of Xj8's with this kind of mileage! I also wouldnt be using it a lot as I have use of a company car so would under use (probably 3 to 5K tops a year) be problem for it also?. Are the engines still normally good with this kind of mileage? Reading from previous postings -jaguar have sorted a lot of the engine probs out on the earlier models. Or am I best hanging on for one with less mileage??? All advice extremely welcome -Im just trying to avoid buying lemon.

Arun Ltd will sell a warranty for a year for about £400 (and they know about Jags). Give Dominic a ring on 01798 874477.

No idea how to link you to it - (what I know about computers causes my kids much mirth)- but try to find PH my advice/buyers guide to the XJ8 in this forum. It's brilliant and covers all the XJ8 V8 pitfalls.

I'd say go for it at the right price. I had a 197 000 mile V8 XJ as a loan car for a few days when my 72 000 mile XJ went back to the dealer I bought it from for some work. Everything worked and it drove just as well as mine did. Thrashed the nuts off it too...nice to find out what they can do.
