Hi Everyone,

I told my wife that when we bought the XKR we would keep it standard, and not buy various accessories and performance mods (like I had done with my previous two TVRs).

Well.................so far I have had the car for a fortnight and have already fitted:

-Lowered number plate plinth
-Private plates
-Ally instrument rings and gear surround
-Clear side repeaters and front/rear reflectors
-One-piece stainless grille

and on the way are:

-Supersports exhaust (more noise!!!)evil
-Uprated suspension

Will I ever learn???????????????????????

I know what you mean!
I am always either thinking about the 'next' project or even the 'next' car, so this time I have promised that I will keep the Jag for a while; as to be honest I am fed up of buying/selling cars and all it involves!!

Yes I have joined the XKEC, and I have also submitted pics and details for the members list; so am just waiting for them to be added!! I received my welcome pack the other day...very nice indeed....although need a XKEC car sticker!!
(just to annoy my wife who hates any stickers on cars)

I will order one as soon as they have more stock!laugh

Amazing! The only word to describe it really!

The only thing that I miss at the moment is a manual gearbox, however the Jag is so civilised to drive around town that I can forgive it that! Plus the noise is a bit disappointing (but then again what isn't after a De-Catted Cerbera), but I am hoping to remedy that soon!!!

The power delivery is incredible with the supercharged engine! It is relentless, and really is just "Press the loud pedal and you are away!!"

Handling feels less 'taut' than the TVR, only the ride quality is better (even with the 20" alloys) and less jarring than the TVR 18" Spiders were on bumpy/pot-holed surfaces (almost every minor road in North London!!!). Apparently it has the 'supersport suspension' fitted (a cost option), but it still looks as though it is riding a little too high and is a little wallowy on roundabouts etc! so I am currently investigating the best way to achieve the desired effect without sacrificing handling.

I was sorry to see the Cerbera go, but still feel very fortunate to have another lovely 'daily driver'!

I had mine lowered by 50mm at Racing Green and 25mm wheel spacers.
Makes the wheels and tyres fill the wheel arches properly.

Hi Scott

You are most welcome, I work from home, so available most of the time.
Make it lunchtime and have a pint.
