Good evening!

Just a quick 'Hello!' to all on here, I have just sold my TVR and am having this '03 XKR delivered early next week! (Silver with Black/Cranberry two-tone leather interior). I have only had one Jag before this, which was a fantastic XJ-S V12 I had whilst in the Army. But I have always thought about getting another! I also needed something that would still be fun to drive after a Cerbera 450 L/W!!!!!

Just wondering what was going on in 'Jag-Land', and which is the best 'owners or enthusiasts club' to get involved with? as we really enjoyed that aspect of TVR ownership.

I have already started on a few minor/cosmetic upgrades (My TVR's were always a work in progress). I am having a one-piece polished stainless-steel grille, lowered number plate plinth and chrome instrument rings/gear lever surround fitted prior to delivery. I am also planning a few other bits and pieces that I will do over the coming months, but the car will be a daily driver and one I intend to enjoy!
Any suggested 'must-haves'??????

Regards,

As an XKR owner you should join www.xkec.co.uk. Great group specific to the XK, lots of local meets all around the UK and good advice on problems and modifications. If you just join one this is the best.
See you there ?

I agree. I'm in the JEC, the JDC and the XKEC.

But, THE ONLY club that truly provides the best of everything for an XK8/R owner or enthusiast, is www.xkec.co.uk

As for future modifications, a Sports Exhaust and Lowered Suspension are the usual next steps.

Welcome Cerby! I'm a fellow TVR to Jag convert (although to be fair I was a Jag person first).

I highly recommend the XKEC, they're a great bunch and really helpful.

As for modifications, I've done a few (see: Jaguar XK Pages) but most of them so far have been to get my '00 up to '01 spec. Must haves? For me it's got to be a sports exhaust for that TVR soundtrack!

Cheers Axe!
I am already looking at an exhaust mod, so will let you know how that goes! I'd like it to have a better 'V8 soundtrack' but without being too obtrusive at 'higher' speeds!

Racing Green cars do the best, highest quality exhaust 1/2 or full system, with a 20-25bhp increase and a fabulous sound. Will cost 1/2-£1600. Full £2k. Can be down in stages.
