Hi all,
Don't normally venture this far from the TVR forums but a mate is having trouble with his Jag and I was wondering if I could pick your brains.
He has a '94 3.2S XJ40 which is having intermittent starting problems. Sometimes it starts and runs with no issues at all, other times it just won't catch. Obvious suspect is the fuel pump as on the occassions it doesn't start, he doesn't hear it prime or whirr as usual.
I had a similar problem with my car about a month ago and it turned out to be an immoliser fault - not disarming properly on the fuel pump circuit and I wondered if it could be this?
Has anyone come across this issue before and is it a common problem? Is it likely to be the pump on its way out or is there a known electrical problem?
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
